Can You Imagine 267,000,000 Mormons?

This is a good summary of The Rise of Mormonism written by Rodney Stark, the sociologist who predicted in 1984 (in his controversial article, "The Rise of a New World Faith") that by 2080 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints could have as many as 267,000,000 members. I always wondered who it was that made these sort of predictions. Apparently, the Church is ahead of pace. Hopefully I'll be around to see if he's right.
